What is Qi and Why Does It Matter in TCM?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the concept of “Qi” is really important. Qi is often described as the body’s vital energy that flows through pathways called meridians. When Qi is balanced and moving smoothly, the body is considered healthy. But when Qi is blocked or weak, it can lead to illness or discomfort. This idea might sound a bit abstract at first, but it is kind of similar to how we think about energy levels in daily life.

For example, if you feel tired all the time or stressed, TCM might say your Qi is not flowing properly. Simple things like getting enough rest, eating warm foods, or even doing light exercise like walking can help improve Qi flow. Even though Qi cannot be measured easily with modern science, many people still find this concept useful for understanding their overall well-being.
