How TCM Understands Stress

In TCM, stress is often linked to the flow of Qi, especially in the liver system. When a person is stressed, Qi can become stuck, which may lead to symptoms like headaches, irritability, or poor sleep.

Simple activities like walking, stretching, or deep breathing can help improve Qi flow. Herbal teas and acupuncture are also sometimes used to reduce stress. Even though the explanation is different from modern medicine, the idea of managing stress is something both systems agree on.
